Bangla Cup Sports Association (BCSA) is a not-for-profit community sports organisation, the aim of which is to cater for people from all back grounds to access sports activities and facilities. We currently house over 70 members and are growing in membership as time goes on.

 

 

BCSA has been highly successful in engaging with communities from black and ethnic minority people as well as disadvantaged communities. With support from the Local Strategic Partnership, Community Empowerment network, Primary Care Trust and the Black and Ethnic Minority Forum of Stoke-On-Trent, BCSA have been able to create opportunities for these communities to improve on their health, well being, self esteem and confidence through participating in sports.

 

Badminton has been our main focus in recent years where we have demonstrated that people from ethnic minorities have been extremely successful in the sports which has been recognized nationally and internationally. Holding annual tournaments, BCSA have ensured that the participants have a goal to win and achieve beyond what they imagined creating motivation to improve on health and fitness throughout the year.
